Riding in WET circles...

This post won't be long...

I just wanted to acknowledge some Gainesville area cyclist who have gone above and beyond the basic dedication to "off-season" training. Danny M., Scott P., Rodrigo S., Jayson O., Myself and Carl all braved the winds and the rain Tuesday night out at Progress Park.

The battle for the Progress Park "Ironman Award" is still being waged as Jayson, Scott and Myself have all been out to EVERY tues/thurs ride at Progress Park since they started in October following the end of Daylight Savings time.

Come on out on thursday when it will be a lot less wet, but probably a bit colder so bring your mittens, scarf and wonder woman underoos!

Paul,

You forgot to mention how I have the D#$% Broom award all but sewn up :-) The only good thing about last night was the fact that it wasn't freezing. At least the forecast for Thursday is free from rain.

The more I think about the harder it is for me to stop chuckling! It has got to be one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time :-) I knew I liked riding with you for some reason.

Good job last night lads. The riding conditions were the worst on record at the Progress Park loop.

Woof!

Paul, I haven't had a lot of time to cycle. It has been all soccer for 4 days a week for 10 weeks. But your blog ( what does blog mean anyway?) website keeps me MOTIVATED to return to the bike as soon as possible, and reminds me why I spent a few $$$ on a new bike. Not totally unlikely that I will join you guys in Alachua. Lambert

Now I have heard myths about this Belgian guy who used to ride with us. They might play soccer in December in Belgian, but not in the US, so I am wondering if he really exists.

Come out and join us Lambert. You don't need to be in the best shape of your life to come back and ride with us - we all get our butts kicked at some point. Maybe it's just your turn... ;-)

I don't know about the rest of you but it took me about 2 hours to warm up last night Brrrrrrrrr! Note to self get some more cold weather clothing. I have to admit I think Paul is going to take the "Smack Talk" award hands down, I don't know if the rest of us can really stand up to the standard he set last night. For those of you who have not been coming out to the rides you are missing a great time!

Lambert-
I'm glad that this blog (which is short for "web log") has had a positive impact on somebody. I look forward to the night that I see that sexy Merckx floating around the loop!

Paul,

We really did miss you last night :-) The ride just doesn't seem the same without your pinace for smack talk. I realize you had a good excuse for not riding last night so I won't give you too much Sh** for not riding. The only thing I will remind you of; is that you have moved into soul possesion of SECOND place (first looser) in the race for the "Iron Man" award. Hope to see you this weekend!
