Vacation week

Well, as most of you know, I'm not working this week so my posts will be a bit more spread out.

I'm able to ride during the day when it's warmer, so I probably won't be out at the Progress Park this week. I realize that I am unable to compete for the ironman award against a guy tlike Jayson who doesn't have any other responsibilities other than working and riding.

I have done a couple of good rides this week already and I'm getting ready to go out fro some intervals right now. I just wanted to throw up a post to say hey. I hope you all had a great Christmas and I look forward to seeing you out on the road soon.

by the way...
...what's this about the Tues/Thurs ride last night that had something to do with "Girls Gone Wild?". Please fill us in.

Paul,

Thanks for asking about "Girls Gone Wild"! For those of you who missed Tues. PP ride, let me tell you WHOW what an evening! We had a good turn out, Joe Brew was there keeping us honest. There was plenty of smack talk to go around although I have to admit no one holds a candle to Paul. We have started the interval training in earnest now, as can be attested too by those who took part in said fun. But the highlight of the evening had to be the visit to our little cycling party of a 24' white "Girls Gone Wild" stretch limo. We had just finished our last interval when Jason noticed this GIANT white limo touring around our cicuit. We all joked about how cooool it would be if the limo were to stop and be loaded with abunch of "HOT" chicks, there were only men on the ride so nothing about "HOT" guys was mentioned, well back to the story. The group was coming around the backside of the park when we noticed the limo again, except this time it slowed and came to a stop as we started to pass. The back door to limo opened and out hopped the sexiest "Belgian" cyclist you ever saw! You guessed it the "Big B" came by to say hi last night. He wanted to check to make sure the PP ride was real and not just some fictitious BLOG story. Lambert says he will be visiting us this Thursday to do some interval work.

I know the story would have been better if the limo had really been the "Girls Gone Wild" limo but would you have really read the post if we had said Lambert visited us in a limo (no disrespect Lambert)?

It just goes to show you should never miss a ride. You never know when you will have the makings of a story that can be told at many a cycling party :-)

Paul has difficulties with intervals unless there is a wheel to sit on :)

Answer to a trivia question from Jason/Huan last night: Only two mexican riders have made it to the TDF so far, Raul Alcala (86-94)and Miguel Arroyo (94,95,97). Alcala particularly did a bit better, with a 9th GC in 87, 8th on 89, and also 8th in 90. In other news, 3 UCI races in Mexico for 2006, check out this site :

Anonymous & Santa Claus,

Maybe you didn't hear about the anti-anonimity rule with the comments.

By the way...I didn't realize that "a wheel" meant the same thing as yo momma's ass?

Signed,
